Milk cooling equipment is one of the dairy farm equipment of milk cooling equipment concept. It is used to cool the freshly squeezed milk from about 36 ℃ to 4 ~ 5 ℃ within 2 ~ 3 hours, and store it at this temperature until it is processed or shipped out, so as to inhibit the growth of bacteria and maintain the freshness of milk.

One of the dairy farm equipment. It is used to cool the freshly squeezed milk from about 36 ℃ to 4 ~ 5 ℃ within 2 ~ 3 hours, and store it at this temperature until it is processed or shipped out, so as to inhibit the growth of bacteria and maintain the freshness of milk. There are two types of direct cooling and indirect cooling. The former uses refrigerant (ammonia or freon) to directly exchange heat with milk through the evaporator, and the latter uses refrigerant to cool the refrigerant (water or brine) through the evaporator to cool the milk. Direct cooling type is divided into the following types: ① immersion cooler. It is composed of refrigerator and evaporator with agitator. Insert the refrigerant evaporator into the milk storage tank, the agitator rotates, the bottom milk is sucked in, overflows from above the evaporator, and forms a cycle. After the milk has cooled down, take out the evaporator and cover the milk tank with heat. ②Direct cooling type cold storage tank. There is a double-layer tank wall, a polyurethane insulation layer between the two layers, and a slit-plate evaporator in direct contact with milk at the bottom. The agitator in the tank is controlled by an automatic switch, which regularly stirs the milk to cool it.

The types of indirect cooling are: ① Surface cooler, also known as cold row. There are two types of single-stage and double-stage. The single-stage type has only one set of pipes, and the coolant enters from the lower inlet pipe, passes through each pipe in turn, and then is discharged from the drain pipe. Under the action of gravity, milk flows uniformly from the small hole at the bottom of the distribution tank to the outer surface of each tube, and after cooling, flows into the lower milk collection tank and is discharged from the discharge tube. The two-stage type (see picture) has upper and lower two groups of pipes, which are respectively fed with cold water and ice brine from bottom to top. ②Sleeve cooler. It is composed of inner and outer tubes in the suit. Milk flows from top to bottom through the inner tube; the coolant flows from bottom to top through the annular gap between the two tubes. ③ Chip cooler. It consists of several thin, corrugated steel sheets. The milk and the coolant flow in opposite directions through the channel formed by the two gaps, and the two channels are isolated from each other. ④Indirect cooling refrigerator. Coolant is passed into the milk tank interlayer to cool the milk, and a cold storage tank is provided to store cold during milking.
