How To Repair CNC Machine Tool Spindle Failure

Machine tool spindle refers to the shaft on the machine tool that drives the workpiece or tool to rotate. CNC machine tool spindles are usually composed of spindles, bearings and transmission parts (gears or pulleys). In fact, there are two main types of high-speed spindles. One type is no drive high-speed motorized spindle. This type of spindle has good rotation accuracy and stability due to the overall structure of motor and machine tool spindle and accurate dynamic balance correction, but the output torque and power are limited. Another type of spindle is the combination of variable frequency spindle motor and mechanical speed change mechanism. The output torque and power of this spindle are much higher, but the rotation accuracy and smoothness are relatively low. Therefore, for this spindle, how to correctly design the spindle and its components of CNC machine tool is very important to the machining accuracy of the machine tool.
Common faults and solutions of CNC machine tool spindle:
Cause of mechanical transmission failure: check whether the belt transmission is damaged or whether the machine tool is in neutral.
Power spindle three-phase power supply out of phase or reverse phase: check the power supply and switch any two power lines
Circuit connection error: please refer to the circuit connection manual carefully to ensure the correct connection
The system has no corresponding spindle control signal output: measure the system signal output with a multimeter. If there is no spindle control signal output, please replace the relevant IC components or send them to the factory for maintenance
The system has corresponding spindle control signal output, but the power line and control signal output line are open circuit or parts are damaged: use a multimeter to check the power circuit between the system and spindle motor and whether the signal control circuit has rest; Whether there is rest; Whether the contact between the connecting wires is poor. Whether the AC contactor and DC relay are damaged; Check whether the thermal relay has overcurrent; Check whether the fuse is burnt, etc.
